West Coast Society isn't a jewellery brand. It's a society, a community for people who dare to show who they are. For people who don't just wear something, but stand for something.
Every piece begins somewhere
Every design comes from a story: something I've seen, something I've lived through, somewhere in the world. They're fragments of my life that together form a line, and like all moments, they pass. That's the movement I stand for.
It's also why I work in small runs. A story from today is already history tomorrow, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be remembered. A memory is the one thing we get to keep forever. Making few of each piece is how I honour that and what makes them one of a kind.
Where it started
I'm an interior designer by trade. Designing is how I think, and jewellery has always been part of how I see the world — often the thing people noticed and asked about. At some point it stopped being a habit and became a plan.
That plan took shape on the road. Two weeks travelling through Sri Lanka is where the first lines of the logo appeared, drawn from what I saw around me. From there I went to Bali, and found the people who would bring the designs to life.
Made by hands I know
A year later I flew back to find a second silversmith for the men's collection. I found him through a coincidence I still can't quite believe: my Go-Jek driver turned out to be the son of the silversmith I was looking for. He took me home to his family, in a village I'd never have found on my own.
That's how this works. The people who make West Coast Society aren't suppliers, they're friends. The contact I have with my silversmiths matters, and I believe you feel it in what you wear.
What jewellery does
Jewellery isn't decoration to us. It's expression, a quiet way of showing who you are, without saying a word.
A piece for the body that strengthens your character. That gives you a little more confidence. That moves with your mood and shifts with you, day by day. You're allowed to be seen, and that bit of uniqueness is worth something.
Every piece carries how I see the world: the beautiful, the raw, the conscious. When you wear West Coast Society, you're not wearing an accessory. You're wearing a story — yours.
